Synopsis :

Ha Dan Ah is the youngest granddaughter of the traditional Ha family, which is headed by grandfather Ha Man Gi. Widowed at a young age when her husband was killed on their honeymoon, Dan Ah has been grieving him ever since, and life is passing her by. Enter Lee Kang Suk, the son of the rival Lee family. The Lees are very wealthy, but their corporation is characterized by ruthless and unscrupulous business practices. The Ha family, very conscious of their reputation and the dignity of the family name, scorn the Lee family, which in turn looks down on the Has. Kang Suk manages his father's company with ruthless skill, which earns him Dan Ah's contempt. Soon the two are clashing, but they're thrown together when both get caught up in a mock dating game. As partners, they begin to change for the sake of each other. Meanwhile, Dan Ah's twin brothers have their own romances, with gentle Ha Soo Young falling for a younger girl while forceful Ha Tae Young meets his match in a plucky policewoman.

Remarks :

I watch this after my obsession with Park Shi Hoo due to ‘The Princess’ Man’ drama. This is indeed a very heart-warming drama. This drama is unique as it talks about preserving cultural practices. How many of us have forgotten about it? How many of us will still follow? What is the way in treating our elders? How do we show the hierarchy of home identity? This sets us thinking. This drama also explores on how new additions to the family change their way of lives.

This is an excellent drama despite its length. A highly recommended one. It reminds us of our roots and to continue the traditions which are long forgotten or neglected. Thus it is important to cherish what we have before they are completely out of our reach.

The cast did an excellent job in their portrayal of different characters. Yoon Jung Hee pales in comparison as she looks blur at times. The chemistry between her and Park Shi Hoo only grows better in the later part of the drama.
